| Extension Climatologist/Meteorologist, Dr. Mark Seeley provides educational programs related to Weather and Climate Services. He also operates a network of Automated Weather Stations. Each station collects hourly and daily values of air and soil temperatures, precipitation, wind speed and direction, solar radiation, relative humidity, as well as other parametmers. Most are co-located with university field research locations. Dr. Seeley also collaborates on data acquisition with the National Weather Service and the DNR-State Climatology Office. |
| Well known for his Friday morning (6:50 am) weather commentaries on MPR's Morning Edition (91.1 FM), Seeley also contributes to the Minnesota Agricultural Statistics Service Weekly/Monthly Crop-Weather Report; a summary of climate conditions affecting the agricultural community. |
