| Seeley received a B.A. in Pre-law from UC, Berkeley and an M.S. in Meteorology from Northern Illinois University, Dekalb, IL. He received his Ph.D. in climatology from the University of Nebraska in 1977. |
| For his dedication to and excellence in conveying to the public, both the substance and the importance of scientific discoveries and issues in climatology, Seeley received the "Science Communication and Education Award" from Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Society in 2001.
He was co-leader of a research team that studied the design and deployment of living snow fences for controling blowing and drifting snow in Minnesota. In 2003 this team received the Research Partnership Award from the Center for Transportation Studies. |
